Archaeology International is the official journal of the UCL Institute of Archaeology. The UCL Institute of Archaeology is one of the largest centres for archaeology, cultural heritage, and museum studies in Britain. Founded in 1937, it is one of very few places in the world actively pursuing research on a global scale in the archaeological sciences, heritage studies and world archaeology. Archaeology International is for both academic researchers and those with a general interest in archaeology and heritage. Produced annually and published once a year in December, the journal combines news about Institute activities with reports on latest research; articles are broad in scope covering geographical, theoretical, and methodological research.
We welcome submissions to Archaeology International, contributors to Archaeology International will not be required to make an Author Processing Charge payment at submission or publication. Articles are published on this site, but are also distributed widely, full indexing details are available here.
